InboVeg - Amphibious vegetation of shallow lakes at Turnhout

最新版本 由 Research Institute for Nature and Forest (INBO) 發佈於 Feb 1, 2018 Research Institute for Nature and Forest (INBO)

Releve data from a historical-ecological study of the amphibious vegetation of shallow lakes at Turnhout, Belgium. Releves are comprised from the study period (1999, by Floris Vanderhaeghe) and from older times (1973-1993, by Geert De Blust and including 1 releve by Herman Stieperaere). Many of these phytocoenoses belong to the Littorelletea class.

Data Records

The data in this sampling event resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 247 records. 2 extension data tables also exist. An extension record supplies extra information about a core record. The number of records in each extension data table is illustrated below.

  • Event (核心)
    247
  • Occurrence
    1553
  • Releve
    247

This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

地理涵蓋範圍

Turnhout, Flanders, Belgium The Turnhout's shallow lake area is one of the most important heathlands in Flanders with many valuable shallow lakes and heathlands. These heathlands are the biotope of rare plants and animals that have specifically adapted to this environment.

Master thesis in Biology at Ghent University (1999-2000, by Floris Vanderhaeghe). See http://lib.ugent.be/en/catalog/rug01:000696541. Also covers data from a master thesis from Geert De Blust (1973, Ghent University)

計畫名稱 Historical-ecological study of the amphibious vegetation of shallow lakes at Turnhout
研究區域描述 Mainly covers the 'Turnhouts Vennengebied'
研究設計描述 Releves were chosen in situ to represent major vegetation types in each lake. Releve locations comprise a relatively higher share of locations with rare plant species.

品質控管 Quality control took place to check consistency between data on paper and data entered in the original Turboveg database.

方法步驟描述:

  1. Vegetation releve data was recorded first in a local Turboveg database, and later on migrated to the InboVeg database. This data was mapped to Darwin Core by creating a specific view. We mapped the data to Darwin core event, Darwin Core occurrence extension and Darwin Core Measurements or Facts for the specific Relevé data. In our sandbox ipt the releve data is also mapped to Darwin Core GBIF releve. This data is only available on http://oefendata.inbo.be/ipt/resource?r=inboveg_niche_vlaanderen
