Description

This dataset includes vegetation survey data of the BELAIR field campaigns situated within Natura 2000 sites in the LITORA area at the Belgian coastal zone. These surveys comprise plant species inventories conducted at 'Lage Moere van Meetkerke' (part of the Poldercomplex) during the summers of 2013 and 2015, and at the Zwin grasslands (within the Dune areas site) in the summers of 2014 and 2015.This dataset comes from INBOVEG, the Flemish vegetation database, also part of the Global Index of Vegetation-plot databases (GIV) and the European Vegetation Archive. This GBIF dataset contains the same data as in INBOVEG: its relevant GIV identification codes are IV2014012815350471 (Lage Moere 2013), IV2015081416383391 (Lage Moere 2015), IV2014090815561332 (Zwin grasslands 2014) and IV2015081416323071 (Zwin grasslands 2015).BELAIR responds to BELSPO’s STEREO II component scientific support to “develop Belgian test sites, for which targeted Earth Observation data and other measurement results are collected, on behalf of the Belgian and international research communities, and which may be used as calibration and validation sites for new EO missions, data and products”.To allow anyone to use this dataset, we have released the data to the public domain under a Creative Commons Zero waiver (http://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/). We would appreciate it however, if you would follow these norms for data use (http://www.inbo.be/en/norms-for-data-use) and provide a link to the original dataset (https://doi.org/10.15468/58528g) whenever possible. We are always interested to know how you have used or visualized the data, or to provide more information, so please contact us via the contact information provided in the metadata, or opendata@inbo.be.

Data Records

The data in this sampling event resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 110 records.

1 extension data tables also exist. An extension record supplies extra information about a core record. The number of records in each extension data table is illustrated below.

Event (core)
110
Occurrence
1927

This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Versions

The table below shows only published versions of the resource that are publicly accessible.
