Description

Monitoring of Oak processionary larvae (Thaumetopoea processionea) in the province of East Flanders, Belgium is a historical occurrence dataset published by the Province East Flanders (Belgium). The dataset is published as a standardized Darwin Core Archive and includes for each occurrence record an occurrenceID, date, location, quantification where available and scientific name. Method step description:

  1. The source data for this standardized occurrence dataset is retrieved from Province East Flanders
  2. Mapping of data was done with R markdown script: https://github.com/inbo/data-publication/tree/master/datasets/eikenprocessierups-occurrences/scr
  3. The resulting Darwin Core data files are uploaded to the INBO IPT (https://ipt.inbo.be) and documented with metadata.
  4. The dataset is published and registered with GBIF.
